The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is SRD no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services place produced for intervention activities a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
